2026 Area 2 Envirothon
The 2026 Area 2 Envirothon will be held on April 29, 2026 at the Holden Arboretum (9550 Sperry Rd, Kirtland, OH 44094). This annual competition challenges high school students to apply their knowledge of environmental science and natural resource management in a hands-on setting.
The Current Environmental Issue for 2026 is: “Non-Point Source Pollution: It begins at home!”
Key Dates:
- March 27, 2026: Team registration and release forms due to Ashtabula SWCD (Suzanne Westlake).
- April 29, 2026: Area 2 Envirothon at Holden Arboretum.
- June 1–3, 2026: Ohio State Envirothon at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
- July 19–25, 2026: NCF Envirothon at Mississippi State University.
High schools may register up to three teams of five students each. Advisors complete registration but cannot assist during competition.
