Timber Education Series Workshop – POSTPONED
UPDATE (April 16, 2020) — Administration at the Ohio Department of Agriculture has encouraged staff to avoid public gatherings, avoid non-essential travel, and cancel in-person meetings. In lieu of this, the Forestry Workshop three-part series has been canceled. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope to offer this series later this year.
The Mahoning Soil & Water Conservation District is proud to partner with the Ohio Farm Bureau of Mahoning County, Northeastern Ohio Forestry Association, Mahoning County Career & Technical Center and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Forestry Division to present a three-part forestry workshop series this spring.
The three workshops will take place at MCCTC, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, Canfield.
Agricultural specialists and technicians will discuss strategies for logging activity, including proper timber harvest standards, best management practices for controlling invasive species and reducing soil erosion and more.
