Mahoning SWCD Celebrates 75 Years of Conservation at Annual Meeting
Mahoning County, OH – The Mahoning Soil & Water Conservation District celebrated a major milestone during its Annual Meeting, marking 75 years of natural resource conservation in Mahoning County. The event brought together community members, local officials, and conservation partners to reflect on the District’s accomplishments and continued mission to protect the county’s soil, water, and natural resources.
The evening provided an opportunity to recognize the dedication and collaboration that have made conservation efforts successful throughout the county. Guests enjoyed a recap of the District’s achievements from the past year, including outreach initiatives, educational programs, and on-the-ground conservation projects that help protect and enhance local ecosystems.
A special thank-you goes to Commissioner Geno DiFabio for joining the celebration and lending a hand in selecting the evening’s door prize winner. His support—along with that of other community leaders—highlights the strong partnerships that make local conservation efforts possible.
The Mahoning SWCD also extended gratitude to its Board of Supervisors, partner agencies, and the many community members who continue to support its mission year after year.
