Mahoning SWCD Welcomes New Administrative Assistant

Mahoning County, OH — Mahoning Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) recently welcomed Cheryl Jones to its staff as the district’s new Administrative Assistant.

A lifelong resident of Mahoning County, Cheryl is a graduate of Youngstown State University, where she earned a degree in Business Administration. She brings years of experience supporting executives and team members, with a strong background in organization, attention to detail, and the day-to-day operations of a professional office.

In her new role, Cheryl will provide essential administrative support to the Executive Director and Mahoning SWCD staff. She is excited to contribute her experience and organizational skills while supporting the district’s mission of protecting and improving the county’s natural resources.

Outside of the office, Cheryl enjoys spending time outdoors, both on land and on the water. She especially enjoys trail riding and camping with her horse, experiences that have helped foster her appreciation for the outdoors and a passion for maintaining the health and quality of the environment.

Cheryl is also an Auxiliary member of the American Legion Columbiana Post 290, where she volunteers at various fundraisers supporting United States veterans.

Mahoning SWCD is excited to have Cheryl join the team and looks forward to the experience and enthusiasm she brings to the district.
