Application Period For EQIP Ends February 16

The application period for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Inflation Reduction Act – EQIP (IRA-EQIP) funding is closing on February 16, 2024. This year, the ACT NOW process ensures immediate approval for applications meeting or exceeding the state’s minimum ranking score.

EQIP and IRA-EQIP offer financial and technical resources to enhance operations, commodity production, and environmental benefits. Historically underserved producers, including beginners, socially disadvantaged, veterans, or limited resource individuals, can benefit from advance payments for all EQIP practices—receiving upfront funding of at least 50% of the payment rate.

Applications are accepted continuously, but for fiscal year 2024 funding consideration, ensure submission by February 16, 2024. Explore EQIP and get more program details on the Ohio NRCS EQIP website.
